DeutscheBack’s individually designed solutions are created in our laboratories at the Technology Centre of the Stern-Wywiol Gruppe. The Centre houses the rheological laboratory and a trial bakery, where our experts spend their days developing new, innovative products.  

Our rheological laboratory and trial bakery have all the latest equipment: the rheological department has a Farinograph, an Extensograph, an Amylograph and an Alveograph; these are complemented by an IDK gluten extensometer, a texture analyzer, a Rapid Visco Analyzer and other viscometric devices. The trial bakery with its different types of machines for making up dough, its fermentation chambers, freezers, ovens, steamers and deep-frying equipment makes it possible to simulate numerous applications and bake practically any product from any part of the world.

The modern Technology Centre is an expression of our passion for developing new products and optimizing every innovation until it is ready for practical use. With its 10 laboratories on an area of over 2,000 square metres it is unique in size and facilities for a company independent of the big organizations.

The research and applications work of the Stern-Wywiol Gruppe is concentrated under one roof at the Technology Centre in order to facilitate the exchange of ideas and information. A joint, interdisciplinary approach to our work and a wider view: these are important components of our daily business.
